We are proud to continue the tradition of providing NHS quality dental care in liaison with Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust. At the start of any course of treatment, we will provide you with a written treatment plan including details of treatment recommended and the associated fee. You will be required to sign a patient declaration form prior to accepting NHS dental treatment, which explains your eligibility to NHS dental care. To enquire whether we are currently accepting new NHS patients please contact us on 01242 523531 or email.
Which dental treatments are available on the NHS?
The NHS states that „All treatment that is, in your dentist’s opinion, clinically necessary to protect and maintain good oral health is available on the NHS. This means the NHS provides any treatment that you need to keep your mouth, teeth, and gums healthy and free of pain.
NHS dental treatment does not include cosmetic treatments that are not clinically necessary, such as teeth whitening. Cosmetic treatments like this are used to improve the appearance of your teeth and make them look more attractive, and are only available privately.
If you’re interested in having any cosmetic dental treatments, you should ask your dentist how much private treatment will cost. Charges for any private treatment will be added to the charges for your NHS treatment”.
For further information please visit the NHS Choices website. For cosmetic and restorative treatments falling outside the remit of the NHS regulations, we are pleased to be able to provide high quality, affordable private dental care.
NHS Dental Charges
How much you pay for NHS dental treatment depends on what clinical treatment you need. Some people are eligible for free NHS dental treatment. For full details of costs and eligibility, please visit the NHS Choices website. If you are eligible for free dental treatment, we ask that you bring proof of your eligibility to your appointment. The current NHS treatment bands and charges are as follows with effect from 14/12/20:
Band 1 course of treatment £23.80
This covers examination, diagnosis, x-rays, preventative advice and treatment, and a scale and polish where clinically indicated.

Band 3 course of treatment £282.80

If you require urgent dental care you will pay the same as a band 1 course of treatment to manage your urgent condition. You will then be recommended to return for a full examination and further treatment as necessary under the relevant course of treatment band to restore your oral health.
